It was SCA, Matlock, and Nancy

Between growing up with Nancy Drew as a constant companion and watching Matlock reruns with her parents, Katie Glover (’18) seemed destined for the courtroom. However, it was at Suffolk Christian Academy that her sense of justice was matched by a deep understanding of faith, character, and community.

Katie credits her parents not only for nurturing her love of the law, but also, for choosing SCA–a decision that shaped her values and relationships for life. “It was where I learned what truly matters,” she reflects. “The people around you and the choices you make define who you become.”

A dedicated athlete, Katie played sports nearly every season, forging friendships that went beyond the field – including with local homeschoolers who joined SCA’s teams. Those bonds, and the lessons of teamwork and perseverance, became a foundation she carried into college and beyond.

After graduating from Christopher Newport University and earning her law degree from Regent University, Katie stepped into her calling as an Assistant District Attorney in Buffalo, NY. Just a week after law school graduation, she married her husband and began a new chapter – one built on the same faith and integrity that first took root at SCA.

Katie’s story reflects SCA’s commitment to preparing students for a purpose driven life. Her advice to today’s Knights, “Don’t forget your family, those you chose through friendships, and those who raised you. Say ‘THANK YOU’ to your parents for this opportunity that they gave you.”
